Welcome to The 8th Side. This website and our retail services are operated by The 8th Side. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The 8th Side. By visiting our site, participating in our events, or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. General Conditions
By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
2. Accuracy of Information & Market Volatility
Trading Cards: The market for trading cards (Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, etc.) is highly volatile. Prices are subject to change without notice based on market trends.
Errors: We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors or inventory inaccuracies, even after an order has been placed. In such cases, we will notify you and offer a full refund if the corrected price is not acceptable.
3. In-Store Events & Community Conduct
For customers visiting our Lincoln Park location for tournaments or casual play:
Conduct: We maintain a “Safe Space” policy. Harassment, cheating, or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in immediate removal from the premises without a refund of entry fees.
Property: The 8th Side is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property (decks, bags, electronics) brought into the shop.
4. Modifications to the Service and Prices
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
5. Billing and Account Information
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address.

Certain content, products, and services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties (e.g., TCGPlayer, tournament software, or payment processors). We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of third-party materials.
